Frequently asked questions

What happens if I do not attend my appointment?

Unfortunately, it regularly happens that patients do not turn up for their appointments without cancellation. This is annoying because we could have helped someone else at that time. Are you unable to keep your appointment with the GP or practice assistant? Cancel or postpone it no later than 24 hours in advance by phone. That way, we can give the freed up time to another patient.

No-show rate
If you do not show up for your appointment without timely cancellation, we will charge a stay-away rate charged according to the guidelines of the National Association of General Practitioners (LHV). These costs are not reimbursed by your health insurer.

  • Single missed consultation: € 20.00
  • Double consultation (e.g. conversations with practice nurse) missed: €40.00

You will receive the invoice directly from the GP practice.

Why does the assistant ask for what reason I want to make an appointment with the GP?

When making an appointment, the assistant will ask the reason for your contact. All our assistants are medically trained and can use these questions to estimate the nature of the complaint and the urgency to consult. They are also trained to give advice. The assistant (like the GP) is obliged to treat your information confidentially.

How can I register as a new patient at GP practice Randwijck?

The practice is open to new patients. View the page 'Registering new patients' for more information.

What can I do through the patient portal (Your Care Online)?

Your Care Online allows you to manage your healthcare affairs safely and easily 24 hours a day. Through the portal you can:

  • Putting a question to your GP, pharmacy or practice manager
  • Making an appointment with your GP yourself
  • Viewing your medical records (such as complaints, illnesses, medication, allergies, test results and letters)
  • Requesting repeat prescriptions
  • View an overview of your medication

How do I request a telephone consultation?

If you have a question for your GP, where you estimate that it is not necessary to come to the practice, you can request a telephone consultation with your GP from the assistant between 08:00 and 12:00. She will ask you what number you can be reached at so that you can be called back by your GP.

Due to the hectic pace of the day, it is not always possible to call you back at a specific time. Please make sure you can be reached!

How do I request an e-consult?

Do you have a short medical question or a follow-up question to a consultation? Ask this question to your GP through an e-consult. You will then receive an answer from your GP within a few days. You can ask your question in the online patient environment and in the app 'Your Care Online'. You can download the app on your phone.

Where can I go with my complaint?

Good contact with your healthcare provider is important. If you are not satisfied or have a complaint, we advise you to discuss it with the person involved and/or your GP first.

Do you provide traveller advice & traveller vaccinations?

Unfortunately, we do not. For travel advice and traveller vaccinations, please contact KLM Health Services, at 020 – 649 43 34. With professional medical advice from traveller's nurses, you will know exactly which vaccinations are recommended for your trip and personal situation. In fact, vaccinations and other preventive measures can help to make you resistant to diseases you would not normally be resistant to, especially abroad.

Do you also do (driving licence) examinations?

Our GPs do not perform examinations. For examinations, please refer to Accurate.co.uk. For questions or to schedule an appointment, they can be reached by phone Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm at telephone number 088 – 111 34 56.
