Flu and pneumococcal vaccinations to be available later

There is currently a nationwide delay in the supply of flu and pneumococcal vaccines. Due to problems in the international supply chain, GP practices are receiving the vaccines later than planned.

As a result, it is not yet known exactly when the vaccinations can take place. The invitation letters for patients eligible for a flu or pneumococcal jab will also be sent out later than usual.

Are you eligible for a flu or pneumococcal vaccination? If so, you do not need to do anything at the moment. As soon as the vaccines are available and appointments can be booked, you will automatically receive an invitation from your GP practice.

We understand that this may raise some questions and would ask you to wait for the invitation. As soon as we know more about the schedule, we will let you know via our usual communication channels.
